Old
Tony Penultimate Video Resurfaces....
For
some considerable while now our garage has been in need of a clearout and so,
charged with this mission, a few weeks ago I go started. Didn't manage to get
it all sorted, in fact phase one consisted of me noodling around saying 'Wow,
I didn't know I still had that?'
One
of the things I really didn't know I still had was the video rushes for a short
promo of 'Easy Listening Man' which was made in the nineties by former drummer
in the Ukulele Kings Russell Greenwood. Russell sadly died a while ago and the
film never got finished, I just had the transfers from Super 8 onto video and
that has lain there ever since.
Fortunately
I got in touch with my pal John Gidley and asked him to see if he could edit it
and make some sort of sense of the various scenes and John has just presented
with the finished video which I have now uploaded to youtube
I've
also put this on myspace
and it makes a fine contrast with the clip of me singing Smells like Teen Spirit
with the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain which sits next to it.
Anyway,
it's nice to have it finally finished and Russell – wherever you are thanks
for making the film.
